Lewis Weston Oaks graduated from Brigham Young University in 1915, and received his M.D. degree in 1919 at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. He specialized in eye, ear, nose, and throat, from 1920 to 1969 in Provo, Utah. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From the guide to the L. The Reverend Harold Baxter Liebler established a mission to the Navajo Indians at Bluff, Utah in 1943 named St. Christopher's until his retirement in the middle 1960s. Liebler's mission to the Navajo Indians, however, did not end upon his retirement. Instead, he moved into the Monument Valley area of Arizona and established the Hat Rock Valley Retreat Center and St. Mary's of the Moonlight chapel.
